general question about mp

been watching mp for quite a while and must say, i like it very much.

is mp intended to, over time, take on the capabilities of xnview generally,
things like the vast image manipulation and editing capabilities that xnview
has? or, is mp always intended to be a viewer exclusively? just curious.

one of the things that first drew me to xnview and nconvert was their
availability across platforms. i'm very much hoping that mp is a refinement
of that philosophy. i think these are the best things out there.

thanks,
BabaG

From the topic, XnView Multi Platform - alpha 0.001:
xnview wrote: My first goal is to have the same features as current "XnView for *nix" with some features of XnView win 1.92

Key features (final version):
* Same features as XnView 1.92
* Unicode support
* Internal 16/32 bits per component support
* Easier handling of native language support (text based files)
* Better database

thanks all.

very heartening to see the final goal of matching what we know from current
xnview releases. i really like it and work across windows/*nix/mac platyforms
all the time.

thanks again,
