How to switch to "Fit image to window" for CURRENT session?

In general my settings for displaying pictures are as follows:
- Fit window to image
- Force XnView to Fit image=yes
This is perfect most of the time and I want to keep these settings as the initial value when starting XnView.
However sometimes I start a digital photo session with XnView. When I (double) click on the first photo this is too
big to be shown completely in window. So I switch manually to menu
View->Auto Image Size->Fit image to window (or "/" shortcut)
Fine. Now I go to the next picture by pressing "PageUp" or "PageDown" key and the next picture is presented.
Unfortuantely again the initial "Fit window to image" settings is taken instead of the just switched "Fit image to window ". So I have always for every digital photo to adjust settings in View menu resp by pressing "/".
This is user unfriendly.
How can I tell XnView: "Use Fit image to window" (resp. use current view settings ) for the REMAINING session (until Exit)"?
