I have crashes all the time taking screen captures, in XP and Win 7 (never had vista). First time usually works (not always) but any second captures crashes xnview. Doesn't matter if I use different key combinations, capture active window, desktop etc. Sometimes if I change the options (e.g. save to desktop instead of save to xnview) it worls again but a second capture will always crash.
This has been the case for several versions now.
Problem is I can't reproduce it accurately. I know it is not a keystroke combi.

Even if you use Timer: 1sec, no multi capture & open in XnView?

Hi, just tested for several scenarios:
It doesn't happen with single capture and with open in XnView,
it happen only with multiple capture with hot key, first two or three images taken correctly, when click on minimized XnView window in attached screen-shoot is shown, easy reproduced bug.

PS.
When I first time reported this error, windows was newly installed so it shouldn't be interference from some other software.

I've tried multiple catpure+hotkey but no problem....
Do you have always the problem with 1.97.4?

Hello, I'm not apofview but I'm experiencing similar problems with version 1.97.8 .

On a PC with Windows 7 Ultimate 64 capturing is running well.
On another one with Windows 7 Professional 64 several tests with version 1.97.8
and older versions the capturing crashes.

I've tried all the settings and their combinations Desktop/Window/Rectangle,
Timer/Keystroke with options and target tab or folder
- the crash happens not always at the first time but within the first attempts.

In the windows event protocol each crash is documented and so it is visible always
the path to xnview.exe 1.97.0.0 and to the module C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll 6.1.7600.16559
Exception code : 0xC0000374 Offset: 0x000CDC9B

After removing "SharePoint Workspace" (a MS Office 2010 Component) screen capturing is working again.
This "workaround" was also successful to a Win7 32Bit system where the crashes happened after installing the complete MS Office 2010 packet.
I hope this helps.
