Two or multi image Comparison utility

hi all,
I would like to find in next XnView releases an utility to compare 2 or more images (one on top of the others) with a vertical/orizontal (or something else) slider that allows me to "xnview" the difference in any part of images (blinking method).
I work as a 3D semi-artist (executor more than artist) and i usually need to compare two or more sequencial images to evaluate and fine tuning the "creation process" of images.
I also tried to find some software that do that without success.

thank you.
Chya

This is a great idea. I would find it useful also.

The XnView MP comparison tool is better than the one in XnView 1.97.2 and prior, but the image zoom and scrolling controls in both comparison tools are... how shall I put it, less than optimum.

...that allows us to view the difference in any part of images (blinking method).
+1, I like this idea too

I would love to have something like the scrollable thumbnail list and the split preview of Corel PHOTO-PAINT's Image Adjustment Lab in XnView!

For two images I'd find it efficient to have both pictures at the same position. By default picture A is shown, while pressing left mouse button picture B is shown. This way you can switch very quickly between images.

Perhaps this behaviour could be added when using tabs and two images.

I create many panoramic pictures, ratio W/H is often higher then 2.
I'd like XnView comparison tool offer also the possibility to stack images horizontaly, one below other.

Here are the various permutations that XnView should support any where there are two images to compare, including both the Compare view and the effects previews.
