Request: Flag on thumbnail

Sometimes a rating or color color label is "too much" information. It would be great to have dual value "flag" control on the thumbnail. A flag that toggled between white and black, for instance.

When moving through a new group of pictures, I typically do a rejection pass first, then go back and rate the rest. If XnView had a flag control on the thumb, in my work-flow I would go through the thumbs and click a black flag for each rejected image.

Here is how Lightroom does it. Notice how Lightroom dims the black flag thumb image (i.e., rejected) and puts a white border around the white flagged thumb (accepted).

You can't use Tag as this Flag?

Hi Pierre

I knew you'd ask. 8)

IMO, the check box is a temporary selection tool for file operations. Using the check box as a flag tool would lose its benefit as a selection tool...

A subtle distinction, but a useful one.
