Hi.
I just got a new computer with Windows 7 and immediately installed XNVIEW 1.97, the latest I could find.
It seems to generally work fine, however it crashes when i select from the menu file | aqcuire TWAIN or file | acquire.

Is there a solution or something I can to to troubleshoot?
thanks
Jeff

I cannot reproduce, try reinstalling your scanner drivers.

MMM it seems I can scan just fine from the control panel | printers. Doesn't that mean the drivers
are probably OK?
I am using 64 bit Windows 7.

I'd sure like to scan from within xnview.
If there are any other approaches I can use to get there I'd apprciate it.
thanks
Jeff

Your scanner has TWAIN driver?
No dialog box, a crash when using acquire?

I am experiencing the same issue. I have created a file recording the failure process, using Windows 7 Problem Steps Recorder. https://www.box.net/shared/d2f9zeh4gc

My printer drivers are up to date (HP psc 2210 all-in-one) as is my video card, and Win7 updates.

I am at a loss.
Scanning and printing in Windows 7 is one of the most frustrating and troublesome things I have experienced in a while; I've already complained to MS about it.
I just want to use my peripherals, and it seems to get more difficult instead of easier. I recall that computer users previously would just buy the hardware, install the software and were done (some assembly and setup required, naturally). It' seems that these days you have to have some above average computer technical proficiency to do the simplest things.
