I would like to discuss the tab sliding issue of XnView MP's QT interface. Pierre, the developer, asserted this was a QT bug.

What makes the QT in Opera 10.50 different from the QT used in XnView MP?

Because Opera 10.5xx versions don't have this tab sliding bug when sliding a tab to the very end of each corner.

Or could it be that XnView MP needs to use the latest version of QT to fix this?

I have not been able to reproduce this behavior on XP.

...It would be great if MP worked that way, though. Arranging image tabs into groups (with user-defined spaces between the groups) would be quite useful on my 1920 wide display. Visual grouping is a powerful metaphor (even in the tab bar) .

If, further, XnView would remember the arrangement of tabs between sessions (and allow named tab sets that could be restored)... wow, now that would be very helpful.

I am talking about the tab 'disapearing' when slided to the far side of the tab bar. Yes it does occur on XP too:

It's ok.

That's why I'm always ready to make screenshots and mock-ups, in bugs or requests, to better explain what I mean.

Pierre is already aware of this and said it's a QT issue. I just wanted to know what makes the QT used in Opera different from the QT in XnView MP. I presume that Opera dev's are using the same tab widget of QT's as XnView MP is.
