I downloaded and install the last version of Xnview an now when I modify and then I save the picture in a folder (exmpl : E/Images) every time are shown all the storage disk and i have to choose every time the disk and the folder , every time that I want to save a picture in THE SAME FOLDER ! The previous version it didn't ask me every time where to save , automatically the picture was saved always in the same folder (for expl E/Images) now it's very slow for every picture, more complicated, this is a real stupid change ! How to solve the problem ? I have to downgrade to older version? It shoud be very ridicolus

thank you

- Tools » Options... » General » File Operations
- [×] For 'Save as', use same original pathname & format

I did it, but it's always the same problem.
Probably you didn't clearly understand what is the problem :
I have a picture on the desktop > I open with XnView > I modify the picture and then I want to save on E/image ... I click on save as and in the little windows , in the left, I have to choose between desktop... my computer....etc etc,,,,, I save in E/Image ....ok
Then I make the same with an other picture , and again I have to make a choice in the computer in wich folder to save

, and so on again for every pictures ...
Before, with previous version, from the second picture automatically was saved on E/image without to make the same complicated route to search the folder and save .
could it be a bug of this version of XnView ?

Changing the option XnTriq mentions above works here. As it appears in configuration file:
[Start]
UseSameAsOrg=0

You may also want to try the following setting:
- Tools » Options... » General » Operations » Startup » Startup directory
