Pasted image should rubberband

XnView has a nice feature by which one can mark a rectangular piece of a picture, cut or copy the piece to the clipboard, then mark another rectangular area of any size, and then paste the piece into that area. The pasted image will be stretched or compressed so as to fit exactly into the new area.
But if I then change the size or shape of the area by pulling one of the dragpoints, the pasted image does not follow.
I can, however, undo the pasting, change the shape of the area and then paste again. Then the image will fill the new shape.
While this works, it is quite cumbersome if I need to position or shape the target area very carefully. There is a lot of trial and error to get it right.
I would like that the pasted image dynamically should fill the area when pulling the dragpoints.
