Newbie questions: View contents of subfolders,Randomize view

Hi everyone,

I am new to XnView and I like it very much until now. Thanks to the developers at this point!

[View contents of multiple folders]
However, there is an issue I was not able to resolve: Imagine you have a folder containing images (e.g. c:\images) and inside this folder other one also containing images (c:\images\somemorestuff). If you wanted to view all images inside c:\images *and* c:\images\somemorestuff, how can this be achieved?

Selecting the contents of c:\images and c:\images\somemorestuff and right click -> open didn't help. IMHO this would be the most intuitive way of performing the given task.

[Randomize view]
Another question is if there is a keyboad shortcut let XnView randomize the next picture. Space/PgDown just moves on in the image list. I would also like to be able to view a random image from the list of files in the viewer.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much for your help!

Best regards,

Alex

Hello Alex,

Try the Slide Show (Ctrl+L) and [add folder], "Use keyboard press or mouse click" and "Use random order"...

...and wait for XnView 1.80 final with lot of new features :) .

Hi Dreamer,

good point, but for some reason zooming doesn't work for me in slideshow mode. I think I'll give XnView 1.80 RC 2 a try.

Regards,

Alex
