Canon 550D RAW files

RAW files from Canon 550D are not working properly. Only a bit of the left side of the image is displayed with high contrast and a pink overlay.
(This is supposed to be 3:2 landscape, but the image is cropped when viewed in XnView.)
If this can be fixed, I would be very grateful.
