In my old image viewer, there is a feature I make constant use of: select multiple files and then press Enter, which opens the first selected image, and acts as though only the selected images exist within the folder for the purpose of viewing. I cannot figure out how to something similar with XnView. I have found the ability to Tag multiple files and then Shift+T, and finally view them, but this is much too slow. Is there a way to do what I want?

That is not encouraging.

Unless, you are the village idiot.
I may get used to using the compare function, but at the moment I miss the full screen fast flip.

1. highlight several files in browser
2. open context menu with right mouse button
3. choose 'open'
or
1. tag several files in browser
2. go to categories panel
3. select tag category

marsh, "Open" works quite well. Thanks! I had tried "Open All Selected" before but I don't like that as well.
Is there a setting that will cause it to open full screen? I have XnView set so that both double-click and Enter open in full screen, but when I right-click and choose Open I get the Tab view.

I don't think the open function is definable. Neat idea.

Hi,
In XnView 1.9x ,
The feature you are referring to is a tickbox named "
Open only one view for multiple files (startup & drag & drop)"
...It is located in the
Options>View
