Keep timestamp when saving - non EXIF files

When "Saving"-> "Overwriting" - under "Options" - there are few selections, like Keep EXIF data, or IPTC data.

I'd like to suggest to add an option to keep original timestamp for non EXIF-files, such as screencaptures.
Right now I need a filerenamer to redate the files. Hope this is technically possible, I don't know.
Maybe, once this option is tagged, XnView should 'remember' the existing/old date before saving and after saving
redate the saved new file?

Thank you and keep up the good work on this wonderful product!

You means Option/General>File operations => Keep date/time?

I mean: I open a file, select a part, crop, then save the file, (save as) with the same name.
Then it should keep the original filedate-time.

XnView asks me to replace, this I confirm, but then the date-time stamp changes.

Even when "Keep date/time for saving" is tagged.

Ok, if you use 'Save' the timestamp is kept...

Ahum.., thank you!
I feel really silly, did not check that.

Still, maybe you wish to consider the keeping same date-time stamp when using "Save as".

Same scenario as mentioned below:
a) Open a file, select a part, crop, then save the file, (save as) with the same name.
Then it should keep the original filedate-time (optionally)

b) I open a file, select a part, crop, then save the file, (save as) using another name
Then it should keep the original filedate-time (optionally)
Delete the original (optionally)

Just an idea...
