MP 0.30 thumbs in fullscreen thumb strip are empty

Win 7 x64.
I never managed to have more than a single thumb (the one being first displayed when going full screen) rendered in that strip.
also, a welcome improvement would be to have the strip to scroll to the current viewed image thumb when opening.(currently only scrolls after navigating next or prev)
