RC3: Filenames in tabs don't allways show

Sometimes filename disappear when clicking on tab. This seem to happen randomly, but the third tab seem to be quite common.

There are no good way to reproduce this but try to close tabs randomly and open open images with log names or something.

Edit: Tested with Win98

Very randomly

:) Hello !
- I can confirm that under Win 98 SE. This occurs very randomly; @ home, I noticed this lack for the first file of a thumb-nails board when opened in the main window. Especially if that file is a JPG !
- I added a file so-named "000.bmp" as the first of the folder, and its tab contains alright the filename and the small thumbnail; but the second JPG file (formerly : the first) displays only the half of the info, cut horizontally, the upper part being missing, the 2/3 of the extension too, like you can see on this pic.
- This happens too with some "B&W" JPG photo having EXIF, where the file-tab is quite empty, and only for this one when opening it directly from the "Reopen" list in the "View" mode; but coming from the browser, the tab is OK ! :bug: ????

EDIT :
- Testing further, I noticed :
1. Others pics have missing tabs, as well *.GIF… *.DDS…
2. ALL tabs of pics from the same folder keep the small thumb-nail of the FIRST file ! I mean : with the “Next file” button, after you got the first file from the Browser by a double-click.

 Kind regards,
Claude

This time it was the last tab, but usually it's the third tab.

Very strange, seems to be a problem only with 98.

Win 98 users, could you test in RC4?

Works on RC4, but this was rare bug so don't mark this SOLVED yet.
Wait I try to summon Clo to confirm this also.

Yes and no…

:) Hello !
- The lack of text on some tabs is fixed here with RC4 here, BUT :

1. It seems that the widths of tabs have been limited with so long names, hence I get i.e. image_with_a _long… instead image_with_a_long_name.jpg

2. The small thumb-nail on the tab remains the same, I mean the one of the first displayed file, when browsing a directory. Since many times it's too tiny so not explicit, I disabled this; however, it worked in RC2 : each image had its own mini thumb-nail alright…

 Kind regards,

:) Hi again!

- Ok I'll do for the tab-lenght that is new, but the “mini thumb-nail remaining the same” was already in RC3, hence it's not solved yet ;)
