Change brightness and contrast in F11 fullscreen mode

It would be nice if it were possible to change brightness and contrast in F11 fullscreen mode.
For example:
- left mouse key: panning (i.e. drag to move within the picture, if clipped)
- scroll function: zooming in / out
- right mouse key: press while moving (up,down) / (left,right) for changing brightness / contrast
Alternatively:
- CTRL + scroll: change brightness
- ALT + scroll: change contrast
Being able to change brightness and contrast on the fly would make it much easier to investigate details in a picture which would otherwise not be visible. One situation where this arises practically is e.g. when viewing X-ray pictures.
