Crashing with mov files

Hi,

I just got a Canon Powershot S95 which generates mov videos. According to Mediainfo these are in fact MPEG-4 videos with an AVC video stream. XnView can not generate tumbnails from these in Browser view. When trying to play it crashes. This happens under XP and Win7 32. Under XP I would have understood, as Media Player can not play them too, but under W7 Media Player can. I do not have QuickTime installed (and I don't want to do that).

Is that a known bug or limitation of XnView?

XnView use installed directx codec, so if you have no Quicktime or Alternative Quicktime codec, XnView can't play them

Thanks. I installed QT Lite 4.10. Now XnView works :-)

It's a bit of a shame that XnView crashes when trying to look at .mov files.
Without Qt or Aqt installed it should just fall into a program trap, shouldn't it?
1.97.8
:(

Edit: Ah. QT Lite IS installed.
:(
Do I have to point to it..?
