XnConvert: 0.95 Beta
XnView: 1.97.8
As per this posting- http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21754 I was hoping to try XnConvert to allow me to complate a task in one pass that currently needs two steps in XnView- scaling and renaming a batch of files.

As per this posting- http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=21754 I was hoping to try XnConvert to allow me to complate a task in one pass that currently needs two steps in XnView- scaling and renaming a batch of files.
Observations-
- XnConvert does not seem to be compatible with existing XnView script files. Although it offers to open ".xbs" files, if I load my existing simple 2-step XnView script file, no transformations are shown in XnConvert.
- The transformations that worked in XnView produce different results in XnConvert (see image below) if I set up the same sequence in the XvConvert UI. The aim is to take a list of incoming images of any size and fit them, undistorted in the centre of a 1024x576 black canvas.
- It would be useful if the program gave a useful error message, or even better offered to upgrade XnView scripts to the XnConvert syntax.
- Option naming etc. in the UI needs some work. I have been fiddling with this for a while but I haven't worked out how to set up XnConvert to achieve the desired result as it doesn't seem to have the same options for expanding a canvas without resizing the image at the same time.
