Support of Video Files

Hello,
just testing XnView MP. I have identified many improvements especially the hot areas in full screen mode for the film strip pine and for the info pane which are also dockable. Thats a big improvement for my personal workflow dealing with digital photos. Tank you very much.
I figured out that the support of videos is not as good as with XnView 1.97.8.
Are there any plans when the functionality for videos comparable to XnView 1.97.8 will be integrated to XnView MP
Regards

Hello marsh,
thank you for the quick reply but I don't understand what you want to tell me. The .mov and also the .avi files for my digicams are processed and shown with XnView 1.97.8 without any problems. The audio and video control bar is avaiblable. Full screen mode and sound is available with .mov and .avi files.
With XnView MP the audio and video control bar is not avaiblable for both .avi and .mov files. Sound is working with avi files but not with .mov files (H.264 codec). Full screen is not working with both file types.
I am using XnView MP and XnView 1.97.8 with the same installation of Win XP Version 5.1, Service Pack 3.

Only to agree that video support is expected through use of those components. It is still very early in my opinion.

Yes I believe it is called the playbar with play pause and skip back button was well as the volume control and elapsed time
To be sure that we are talking about the same here two screen shots:

- Playing .mov file with XnView MP
- XnViewMP MovieFile_02.jpg (67.1 KiB) Viewed 4631 times

- Playing .mov file with XnView 1.97.8
- XnView MovieFile_02.jpg (62.59 KiB) Viewed 4631 times
As already mentioned with XnView MP also the full screen mode is not available when a videofile is selected and there is no sound for the .mov file. All works fine with XnView 1.97.8
Best regards
