New "View" option greatly appreciated

Hey there,
XnView rocks because it seems to be the only image viewer that can and will actually adapt its size to the size of an image (the "Fit to Image" with "Force XnVie to Fit Image" settings).
One addition would make it perfect. When the image size exceeds the screen size, the option above isn't very helpful as it just shows a fullscreen detail of an image.
Suggestion: XnView remembers the last image that fully fit in its smaller than screen size window and auto shrinks images that are too large to be displayed 1:1 into that smaller window. However, all smaller images that are able to be displayed through "Fit to Image" would still be shown as before.
If that feature is already hidden in the settings, I'd be thankful for any leads.
