Dear Forum,

The following formats are not rendered properly in XnView 1.97.8 (Windows):
- TIFF Indexed with an alpha channel (image is completely mangled). These are emitted as EPS previews by Adobe Illustrator CS4 among others.
- TIFF CMYK planar with and without alpha (image is completely mangled). These are emitted by Photoshop CS4 among others.
- TIFF CMYK chunky with alpha (rendered as opaque). These are emitted by Photoshop CS4 among others.
- TIFF Gray with alpha (rendered as opaque)
- PNG Gray with alpha (rendered as opaque)

FYI, I just checked that 1.98 beta 1 has the same rendering issues.
Moreover, I overlooked the following case :
- TIFF CMYK chunky with alpha (rendered as opaque).

I'll mail a couple of test files.
