I think using different terms than v.1.9 series would better distinguish slide features.
Suggest:
SlideMaker for the versatile one (with edit list, pictures and music, etc.)
Slideshow for common navigation function.

Ok. It is that I follow the small function more . As was done with many icons, maybe these terms would be cosmetically better:
Play images
Slide creator
Slideshow either overstates or understates function so it makes as a better description than a label to me. No problem.

I personally distinguish between a "slide" and a "slideshow".
- • A slide is a single element of a slideshow. A slide includes an image and its transition/audio effects etc.
• A slideshow is a sequence of slides.
So, a
slidemaker would make individual slides, and a
slideshow maker would assemble the slides into a sequence.
IMO it is indeed already correct to say "Slideshow" in the Tools menu.
