This annoying delay also makes filename text flicker.

Very good idea - support! :)

@xnview:
Pierre, what do you think about making something similar to:
Options -> Browser -> Thumbnail -> "No thumbnail for files larger than" 1024

For example:
Options -> Browser -> Preview -> "Smaller delay for files larger than" 4096
This option checked will act like RC5, unchecked like previous versions.

It's not really with file size, but with image size in pixels
Pierre.

IMO this feature (first low quality, then high) is really nice, but it should be made optional. It also could be extended to other parts of the program, not only lite fullscreen.

I agree to that because maybe sometimes it is useful and for other situations it isn't.

Roman
1. Added in RC6

2. I agree (to Viewer and FS standard) - Pierre?

BTW - There is another topic for this but now I see that it only occur if this option (above-1.) is enabled - high quality doesn't work for some images in FS lite.

Moved back to "New/Open"

There is an option to disable - options > view > fullscreen > delay before...

Looks as if the option "Delay before smooth picture (browser only) for pictures with size (in pixels) larger than" is not located in the right category. And the wording needs to be improved and made clearer. E.g. I don't understand what the "(browser only)" means.

Some possible wordings:
1 - "Use delayed smoothening for pictures larger than (pixel)"
or
2 - "Use delayed high quality for pictures larger than (pixel)"
or
3 - "Use delay before high quality view for pictures larger than (pixel)"

It only applies to the preview area of the browser.

"Use 2-step high quality preview for pictures larger than (pixel)"?
