XnView Software

hello,

i just installed the newest full version of xnview 1.98.1, but when i tried to save as some images, it always show "contact your dealer" error messages.

what should i do ?

What format did you try to save them in? IIRC, there's some plugin (luratech, or the one jp2k one, I think) thatgives that message if you try to save a pic larger than a specified limit or some such.
(I know that message has come up once before, a few years ago, I think.)

the file source is PNG format, 32x32 pixels. the destination format is GIF, non-interlace, keep transparent by pixel 0. its iconic size, so i believe that the problem is not the file size.

after those failure, i decide to remove it all, reboot my windows and reinstall again.
second install using filehippo.com installer which is resulting the same error message.
while installing, i only check jpeg200 lib and uncheck other options, because i see at other thread that some plugins may kill xnview.

any other hint?

The source PNG is 8bits?

according to image properties command from xnview:

bits per plane: 32
# of plane: 1
bits per pixel: 32

Ok, the problem is alpha channel. If you remove it, no more problem..

OK, i've tried that. but when i remove alpha channel the converted images my loose some details pixels and also it loose its transparency although i've tried to set transparency via pixel 0.

any further clue to solve this?

GIF doesn't support alpha channel, only index transparency
