Go in a directory of your choice and click on the "Show files in subfolder"-button.
Now go to another directory. The buttons state stays active (sunken), but de facto it's inactive because of the folder change.

yes known bug. Here, the button must be inactive, or the option must be always active with new folder?

I would reset the buttons state on a folder change.
