Which feature do you want for next major release from XnView win?

Slideshow, print, contact sheet, ...??

1. One click 100 % view Great for laptops users
2. Will see tags from camera. Like Photomechanic: i will choose photos taget in camera
3. Ech.. Watch folder and ftp.. You now what
4. MT speed !

I two things from xnview win:

"Create Strip of Images" ---->to be renamed as Join Multiple Images...
and
"Paint plugin"

..Other than those two xnview win features, I have many other new-feature ideas which I would like to see available in the next major version. I will let you know in due course.

Yes, i now - if i have a 1:1 with right click i can move the pictures. But its complicatet: click on 1:1, move and see and clik "/" to back full screen view. Better - i thing - in full view clik-and hold on the pictures to see 1:1,move mouse= move pictures; relase - back to normal view. Fast and simple
EDIT: Oh yeah: in MT this funcktion works as well

Not full EXIF. In camera i can tag some pictures. When i connect the cart to computer i will choose "taget in camera pictures" and copy only those pictures.

Yes, but it's hide in few menu, haven't shortcut and i thing - i'm not sure now - there is'nt queue (next picture automatically starts after send previous pict.) EDIT: Like in MT but with shortcut

As you wrote - and it's true - MT is faster than "standard" XnView.


Oh, i'm sorry. I dont saw, that this thread is about MT...

jpeg direct chop operation- because it is effectively unknown on linux other than command line.

As I work with cutting and post production, I would love to see some basic features for videos. A bar (also in the preview panel) to jump, buttons to set volume, auto-repeat, ab-repeat etc, to pause the video and such things. Of course this has no high priority - but it would be cool to expand the video features from time, as it's not possible to tag and rate videos with external players, and as they are not that fast in starting as an integrated one.

And it would be cool, the slideshow could also operate on selections, such as category, rating and colour label.

1. Fix image "scaling" error!

2. Address global short-comings in the UI metaphor/infrastructure: see my new post here.

3. Thumbs strip moveable to bottom of full screen

4. Before-and-After side-by-side in Batch Convert tab. Thumbs scaling in Batch Convert.

5. Complete the grid customization dialog.

6. Finish (or almost finish)/enhance the Compare functionality: the Compare tabs need a menu, various combinations of navigation/zoom locks, ability to save compare image pairs/groups, standard images controls (a la the new ones in the view tab) + (eventually) many other tools.

7. Enable better communication between browser and Batch Convert (drag files to Convert tab, add selection to Convert, etc.)

8. Strip of images/contact sheet

... and many more.

Able to rectify and complete the metadata (batch) would show the power of the tools available to us you are to me. It would simply set a great and unique

A slideshow like Fastone Image Viewer: select a directory and get a slideshow from the images in it with one click (no exe file and all these sorts of things).

1. Printing is the feature I miss most. For my daily use xnview works pretty good but the lack of print option force me to stick to some other apps.
2. I would like to see option: when I open image from any external file explorer it goes fullscreen (as it is now) and with esc key it closes xnview without going to window mode or goes straight to browser
3. Files associations.

Ah, what I also would love to see for the next major is the quick preview I requested some time ago. This is a comfort feature I miss the most as it can save a lot of clicks/time.

1) Advanced categories search
2) search filter ( Test only on 0.35 : )
2.1) Don't work on XMP tag ?
2.2) The caractere é is never find on a IPTC field ( & also xnview database)
For exemple, i have the Tag " Léo "
(But can find it on a filename)
2.3) To search with 2 different world via a OR : " Julien|Ami "
But don't find how the same but with a AND ?
