After install the RC6, i noticed that XnView is not remembering the View panel size (as hapenned wih RC2 and was fixed on RC3 or RC4).
Too bad to see this bug back, i hope they fix it on next release, till there i will keep the RC5 that remember the layout.
Other than this great work guys and thanks for the great program.

Seems like this depends on used layout.
Can't confirm that in Filmstrip layout.

The size of the preview window seems fixed. It resets to same position after every restart. I prefer dimensions to be remembered instead.

Hello all !
XnView is not remembering the View panel size
- “
danilloOc” is talking of the VIEW pannel, hesn't him?
- I can confirm that here too. This very basic feature doesn't work; I didn't notice that before, because I use rarely the main window with an adjusted smaller size…

Kind regards,
Claude

I confirm.
1. Select Layout3
2. Drag the slider *down* (so then the tree panel is bigger than the preview panel)
3. Restart XnView
--> The layout has been reset

Also, if the window was maximized when closing, the "restored down" window's size will be lost.

Yes. And this behaviour is quite annoying, since the main window's size is as if it is maximized and Windows XP does not let you resize the main window easily, then. So you have to first move the window and then resize it.

One little thing is still buging in RC7.
every time when you restart XnView the folder tree area comes bigger
Reproduce
- Select layout 1
- minimize preview area
- Restart xnview (preview area is a bit bigger. Every time when you restart XnView the preview area comes a bit bigger)
Edit: fixed incorrect reproduce instruction

I can confirm ckv's post - it goes from 88% to 45%, 51%, 56%, 62%, 67% each time XnView is restarted with Layout 1.

Can't confirm / reproduce that under Win XP / SP2.
[OT] Hint: Forget layout 1 - use the superb filmstrip layout!

This happend only when tabs is on. And Pierre have fixed this already (not in RC7 but in final it should be fixed)
Could some of the admins move this to 'Fixed in RC8 (Final?)' or 'Closed/Solved'?
