A few suggestions

- improve file renaming when file exists. For instance, if you want to rename file.jpg to thisisagreatfile.jpg, you get "error rename file" (with no explanation why) and you have to type it all over again ("thisisagreatfile2.jpg"). How it should work, imho: if file exists, give a proper error ("file already exists") and let the user overwrite the existing file or choose another name (in this case just by adding a "2").

- improve cache. Since XnView was getting slower and slower, I checked the Thumbnail cache and found lots and lots of "Temporary Directory for file.zip". There should be a way to delete files from the cache when the path doesn't exists (disclaimer: I don't know if "Optimize" does that).

- Improve file deletion. It would be great if there was a way to bypass the "Confirm File Delete" dialog. That is, deleting a file puts it automatically in the recycle bin.

- Behaviour when a folder is emptied (in fullscreen). When you delete all the images in a folder, the first image still appears (of course, you'll get and error if you try to delete it). This is confusing. When you delete the last file, XnView should quit or quit fullscreen mode.

Thanks and keep up the good work!

Hi,

My reply is only related to the 'Confirm on Delete' question, I have not read the other parts.

There is an option General / File Operations / Confirm File Delete, which should solve your problem.

I have also a suggestion: Please write distinctive subjects, not just ' A view suggestions'
