There are a log of issues here. I think it should be reworked completel.
Some issues:
- Although thumbnailing has completed, number of thumnails in cache is different from number of files eligible for thumbnailing in folder.
- When deleting 1 file from a thumbnailed folder or a folder where thumbnailing is in progress, the thumbnailing starts again at 0%.
- "Optimizing" cache results in deletion of all thumbnails
- Improve speed.

It is probably good for small folders. But i wish you would test it yourself with large numbers of files in folders (video files) and then try to use MP with it, then you will see a lot of troubles with it.

Database store all files, not only thumbnails

Strange, do you use 'Thumbnail/create for whole folder'?

It is weird though: Folder has 40000 files in it. All of them thumbnailing files. MP database reports 39970 created thumbnails.
So it has less thumbnailed files in database than files in the folder.
