When applying a filter (e.g. disply only files with a certain rating) they dont get thumbnailed. Thumbnailing only works on unfiltered view.

When you choose a rating in category tree view?

Just to avoid misunderstanding: If thumbnail has been created it gets displayed on filtered view. But it does not create thumbnails.
However I would expect MP to create thumbnails for the current selected view.

Oh, if i understand you correctly. You use filter, but not all thumbnails have been created, right?

Let´s distinguigh 2 cases.
1st case thumbnail create for entire folder is on.
Let´s say a folder with 100 files. MP starts thumbnailing 1, 2, 3, etc. When I choose a filter which displays files 90-100 while they have not yet been thumbnailed, it does not show the thumbnails until MP has reached the files during its regular thumbnailing process.
It would be better if MP would thumbnail the filtered files first.

2nd case thumbnail create for entire folder is off
This case happend to be worse: MP starts thumbnailing for the files that are visible in the normal explorer view. Lets say files 1-10. Then thumbnailing stops. When I choose my filter to display files 90-100 thumbnailing does not get started again. So there are no thumbnails created for the files.
