Hello!
I installed XnviewMP three days ago.
I'm still discovering the new features and the differencies with Xnview.

Till now I have a very good feeling about XnviewMp. everithing very good for me.
I don't like that I cannot pan a zoomed pictures directly dragging the picture and I have to use the thumbnail...well...I can live with that.

What I really don't like is that I cannot select a few pictures and dragging them in a folder in the folder tree!
It brings me back to years ago when also Xnview didn't had this feature.
I cannot live without that...it's almost impossbile to manage lots of photos and always use the "move to" feature instead of a simple drag and drop.

I hope it will be add as soon as possible. So I will be able to unistall Xnview forever.

Bye!!

I agree, not being able to drag pictures into the folder tree is a big issue with me.
I think the install versions do this, just not MP. But I went with MP because the other versions can't handle special characters in file names...

As for panning/dragging an image go to
Settings>Keyboard/Mouse
For Left button choose
Move Picture

It seems like every version I've tried of this it still has too many shortcomings.
I still like my ACDSee 3.1 setup but it doesn't handle filenames in another language either.

:x

On top not being able to drop stuff in the folder tree, when you figure out you cant drop it into the folder tree and move back over it creates a copy of the file(s) and then I have to delete the stupid files.
Why is this even a feature?
If I wanted a copy I'd use ctrl + drag.

I wonder, it's a bug or feature?

I'd really like to browse my "new stuff" folder with XnViewMP and sort all the files to the place they belong. I'm doing this with XnView now, please add this to MP soon!

+1 -Me too: drag+drop into a folder in the foldertree. That would be very nice! Am using it 10 minutes now, after going thru settings (still looking for a way to change it back from my native languate to English), the first thing I stumbled over: not being able to drag-drop files. Hope it will be included soon.
Keep up the good work!

???

What do you mean?

The latest version supports drag & drop files from the thumbs pane to the folder tree. (Use Shift to Move)

What it doesn't support is:

- auto-sensing for Move if the files are on the same drive.
- drag & drop from tree to tree
- drag & drop from tree to thumbs pane

I guess my version of 0.61 is bugged then as I can not drag a thumb to the folder tree. I get the Ø as soon as I try to drag a thumb to the tree with any modifiers or not.
Can you elaborate on the version this works on? Maybe that's the problem.

Edit: Found out this works fine in the main tree, just not the favorites tree. ref
