For a camera, 41 MP resolution is special. But for a cellular phone it's extraordinary! Just wondering who will need that...

But read this pdf from Nokia...

Very interesting. Inventive, even.

Put a sensor like that in a small camera (such as the Sony T series) with a decent optical zoom to augment the digital zoom they discuss in the white paper, and you would have a very portable "all circumstances" camera with images far superior/more detailed than any so far conceived of in that size equipment.
