XnView Software

in XnView 1.9x there is a setting to rearrange positions of preview, tree, list, info, but in MP all these elements are attachable, so there is no such setting any more. i tried to rearrange elements to my needs, but it all ended with quite a mess. not only i didn't manage to place Preview above List/beside Tree(Preview continuously tried to take place above everything), i couldn't even place it back at the bottom, near Info element(Preview merged with Info and created 2 tabs respectively). i had to "save situation" by killing task to not store "floating" Preview.
can somebody give me some advice, as maybe i did it wrong..

i noticed some kind of indication when trying to drag element to some edges of interface = good thing would be to make those notifications clear for 8 areas(respectively 4 sides and 4 corners), to be sure where element will be dropped.

Choose first a layout, and after rearrange the panel...

damn, i missed that. such things are mostly set only once, so i forgot where it was in 1.9x, and searched for it in Settings(shame on me). Free Layout made it utterly clear, thanks.
by the way, why Preview panel is the only to remain size no matter if app is windowed or fullscreen?(it looks awkward sometimes) and why "Tree panel > Vertical tabs" works only sometimes(in some layouts)- is it supposed to be so, or it's beta-case?

actually no. i just checked and it seems to me that depending on layout different panels will remain size. for ex in 2 from bottom layout(1.98) Preview is the only panel to change size.
i understand why changing size is happening, but don't understand how is it determined which panel to do that?(might be good if that be controllable with smt like "Lock panel size/PinPanel")

i tried all layouts having Vertical Tabs always on =layouts 2 and 5 make tabs horizontal. if i place any multi-panel beside Preview, vertical tabs don't work either.
yet, i 'm confused with layout 5 = Priview is a tab on Info panel while "Info Panel>Preview as tab" is not ticked.

there are more things i noticed and would like to confirm if they must be so, or it's me:
- List is the only panel that can't be dragged
- no panel can be droped between List and any other panel beside it
- not possible to make= panel-panel-List

What do you means by List?

panel with files and folders(Filelist).
