0.50 rename files using exif "Date taken" not working

On my mac I want to rename my files like this:
{EXIF:Date Taken [Y_m_d]} ###.jpg
but all I get is 001.jpg
although I can see the exif "date taken" info exists in the file.
It worked in the previous version.
Please help. This was the most useful tool for my large collection.

Btw, renaming also doesn't work with the tag "IPTC Created Date" anymore...
(I hope this remark is of any help... And as this is my first post here: Thank you so very much for this wunderful programme! I use it every day under Win and Linux and really like it.

)
Edit: Shit, I was wrong with the passage marked pink! It still works with "IPTC Created Date"! Sorry for possibly having caused confusion!

And yes, the workaround with "Exif Date Digitized" mentioned below seems to work...

Same here:

It seems that 0.50 cannot read EXIF:Date Taken. Temporarily you can use EXIF:Date Digitized instead, the two values seem to be identical.

I'm afraid this problem is related to the latest fix for
http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=24993 in v0.50.
