0.51 OSX - file copying into the background?

Hello,
I've been using XnView 0.51 now today for a few hours without any notable problems (haven't tried any of the editing options, yet) and I realized for the first time while copying a folder with a few hundred jpegs to a USB-Stick, that I cannot continue to use the rest of the program until the copying process has finished - which is a bummer! But I do remember that it is possible with programs like TotalCommander or similar file copying programs to assign the copying task to the background with a button and continue to use the main program.
Would it be possible to add such a function to XnView? Or maybe there is such an option and I am just too stupid to find it, which is very much possible...
