Display image size in ppi

Can you let us choose ppi in showing image size
I am not interested in 72ppi, and I may want to change the ppi just because I'm printing different mediums.

In browser, status bar
In image properties, image tab.
In the setting "<WidthInch><HeightInch>"
All of these don't allow me the user to specify. Eg today I'm printing canvas I want to see all my pics as 150ppi. Tomorrow I'm printing at 300ppi. Esp RAW files I can't set what the camera decides ppi, and I'm stuck with 72 all the time.
Either a global property for 'custom ppi', or something like <WidthInch(300)><HeightInch(300)>
Either way I can even have separate config for each 'view mode'
