Request: Importing from old, and GPS editing

A few wishes, after testing 0.51:
Importing categories, ratings, etc from the old XnView would be awesome. Even if I have to export manually and reload into the new one, I don't care; I know my way around sqlite and can do that if it's supported, but I don't want to break anything. Having a way to actually load right from the database would be best, though.
GPS XMP editing. You already have exiftool support to read tag, so using it for editing tags should be relatively simple, especially since it's good at translating lots of formats into the necessary one. Alternately, the GPS tag is well documented and you already read it, so writing it would be easy, creating the GUI for it would be the only time-consuming part.
I can't figure out how to change the basic interface color. You can change the background of the thumbnails, and of course the view and fullscreen colors, but I just can't find a way to extend that to the rest of the browser and the UI in general; for photos I usually prefer a dark or black background.
