Ist there any possibility to sort thumbnails by drag and drop, so that i can batch-rename the images in an order i just sorted before?

Torsten et al, you cannot move the thumbnails in the browser. But in the dialog "Batch rename" there are buttons ^ and V at the right of the list that allow changing the order of the files. Think this is what you wanted.
