Hello fellas

I have encountered a problem that I couldn't solve and I'm now asking if you would have some ideas.

The problem:

I have a folder with images.
In the folder the images are organized BY DATE(chronologically).
When I open an image the XnV opens and shows the image (obviously ).
When I press next image XnV DOES NOT open the next image chronologically. Instead it opens next image by FILENAME.

Is there any way to set XnV open images as they are represented in the folder whether they are organized by date, size or whatever?

Unfortunately that is not how it works for me.

For example:

I have a folder with five photos named: 1.jpg, 2.jpg, 3.jpg, 4.jpg and 5.jpg.
I set SORT BY: date.
Files show in the folder as: 1.jpg, 5.jpg, 3.jpg, 2.jpg and 4.jpg.
If I open image 3.jpg in XnV and press next image it opens 4.jpg and then 5.jpg. NOT 2.jpg and 4.jpg.

I have windows 7 professional x64. I have tried XnV v1.99.1 and XnView Shell Extension Setup v3.20 without success.
Any idea what I'm missing here?

I can't reproduce, could you send me a zip with your folder test image?

I am happy to provide the test files. The zip file contains 5 images and a video where I show how the program behaves on my computer. I also just uninstalled Windows to see if that helps, but it didn't.

Ok, i means changing sort order in XnView browser not windows explorer

Oh silly me.

Such an easy fix. How come I didn't see that.
