Save As changes the current browsing directory

Hi,
I'm a long time IrfanView user who recently switched to XnView. Here's a scenario that bugs me a bit with XnView:
1) I open a random image in directory C:\images and begin browsing
2) I resize (or whatever) an image, hit Save As, and save the image in C:\temp
3) Result: I am now browsing images in C:\temp. I want it to stick to C:\images no matter where I do Save As operations.
Is there a setting that can change this? I often browse through camera photos for example, and save resized versions of them in a temp directory.
Thanks

Do you have tried to change option>General>File operations - for save as use original pathname?

I just tried those two options, and they had no effect.

What do you means by "I am now browsing images in C:\temp"?

I mean that after doing the Save As, it switches to looking at the file I just saved, and pressing space will now iterate through the images in C:\temp, instead of staying in C:\images where I was browsing images originally.

Problem:
[quote="sixtydashone (
"Save As" question)"]Many times I want to edit a pic from "xxx" directory and "save as" to "yyy" directory. Once I've saved the edited pic to "yyy" directory, I'd like to be able to scroll the mouse wheel and have it take me to the next pic in "xxx" directory so I can edit it and save it to "yyy" and so forth.
The issue is that after the "save as" if I scroll the wheel, I am now scrolling through the "yyy" directory. So what happens next is I have to click X at the upper right corner to close the picture and return me to the pic browser, then find my place in "xxx" directory, open and edit the next pic, click "save as", close it to return to the browser again, find my place in the "xxx" directory again, etc.[/quote]

Thanks, problem solved.

Perhaps the option could be more descriptive, but it works.
