ultra slow opening of CR2 files

XnView supports Canon's Camera Raw format (CR2), but opens a file
very slowly. A single 20 MB file opens for a 20 seconds!

Having a 100% reproduce of that bug.

Do you use 'embedded thumbnail' in View>Misc - Camera raw?

No, I use full size:
If i choose embedded thumbnail, the read speed increases, but losing a quality. Is it hard to read the whole RAW instead of jpg thumbnail inside of it, but not freeze that hard? The software like lightroom or canon's digital photo professional reads the file very fast without losing a quality.

Old topic but it would be great to have an option for loading thumb first and refresh the view after a few seconds if full size loaded (in background without freezing).
