XnView Software

Hello,

As XnViewMP approaches version 1.0 and therfore out of beta stage I think XnViewMP name should drop the "MP" and use something more name impacting. We already know that XnView since the beginning is 'multi platform'.

These are names I that I suggest could be cool:
XnView next , XnView pro , XnView ultra , XnView plus

....I quite like the sound of "XnView plus"

Also a new name gives it stronger distinction away from the legacy 'classic' version.

I think this topic might have been discussed before. Just an idea not request.

XnView pro, sounds like there is a basic version but this is not 100% correct.
XnView ultra, hmmm dunno......

Maybe name it after the main colour of the icon: XnView Orange

Please don't hijack user's topics with your requests. A Linux version will come same as always.

This topic is not a request by me for a change of the application's name; it is a topic just showing an idea. An "Idea" and a "Request" are not the exact same. Yes the current "XnViewMP" name is fine but was just thinking of ideas. Thanks.

Great idea so it would be like 'passing the torch' from one era of XnView to a new era of XnView.

So XnViewMP final version could become "XnView v2.1".....After the final XnView classic version 2.0. Excellent.

I remember Pierre saying somewhere that XnView classic would reach v2.0 and then cease development to migrate development on the MP versions....Or perhaps I misread.

So you will continue development on the standard version after 2.0? Will there be no end for the standard version? ...Would be a lot of work for you. I thought XnViewMP was the future.

I thought that the the standard version would get to 2.0 or 2.xx and then stop.
