XnView Software

The Metadata Working Group is an industry alliance that has developed recommendations for how to handle various issues with photo metadata. The group includes Adobe, Microsoft, Canon, and others.

It would be great if XnView followed these recommendations. There is a great need to bring order out of the current chaos in metadata.

I'm not deep in the metadata matter, but there's Windows, IPTC, XMP, maybe more. Probably a bit too much...

Adhering to these guidelines would certainly help to prevent a lot of issues.
