Unknown Format from Amiga 1988

I have a number of images saved on an Amiga computer in 1988. They have a .pic extension but I have tried renaming them with .IFF and other extensions or none. XnView says "unknown format" to all versions. I have the display all image types checked and have installed the full XnView with all plugins.
I tried to upload a sample image but the uploader will not accept it (probably since it does not know what it is). I tried changing the extension to .jpg but still could not upload it.
