XnView Software

Dragging folders - moving them to another location - is not reflected in the folder tree. Refresh won't help either. I always have to click away into different folders, then come back to verify my file/folder operations have been carried out.

Browser is set to AutoRefresh
Folder Tree is set to "Update Treeview when Refresh"

I also checked the ini-values for these, settings are correct as expected, but the folder tree will not update after dragging folders onto others.

Same thing in XnViewMP. No update of folder view on change. F5 doesn't update view.

Dragging in XnViewMP, not in windows explorer?

Well, for XnViewMP on Windows 8.1 64bit and assuming 3 folders, A B C, on the same level:
- Folders can't be dragged in the folder tree at all

If I drag in the right panel with folder tree visible, things get wonky.
- Drag A into B, A vanishes in the folder tree, but no subfolder triangle for B
- If I look into B, subfolder triangle appears
- Drag A out of B back into root folder: B still shows subfolder triangle, even though it doesn't have a subfolder. Expanding the tree of B shows A which isn't there anymore. Also, A is not sorted back into, but is put at the bottom. F5 doesn't nothing to correct this.

Second try after fresh start of program, wasn't reproducible after that try:
- Drag A into B. A doesn't vanish, B shows subfolder triangle immediately.

While testing how XnViewMP reacts when I create and delete folders in the explorer instead of the program itself, at one point I couldn't delete a folder. Windows said, I lack the rights. Clicked on XnViewMP and it stopped working. After killing it, I could delete the folders.
