Rotating images only in GUI

Hello,
I work with XnViewMP 0.56 on a windows system.
Here I also work with *.orf files taken with my Olympus camera and many images are taken in portrait format.
The problem is that XnViewMP cannot rotate these images because it cannot write *.orf files.
This is ok for me.
But it would be very helpful to rotate these images in GUI only; without modifying the image file or database.
This new feature should be available for all types of images, because I suggest in GUI they are somekind of bitmaps.
Thanks in advance.
Herb

Hello Pierre,
at the moment I do not know how to send you such a file, because all my *.orf files have a size about 10MB.
Can I send you such a file via e-mail?
But I think this is not necessary, after I have explained my feature request again:
I have an image (*.orf or another RAW-format or maybe also a *.jpg file) that contains the tag exif:Orientation=normal.
From technical point of view the orientation is landscape, but from logical point of view it has portrait orientation.
Now I ask you to allow a rotation of that image in GUI only
- from landscape to portrait
- without any modification of the image-file itself and without any modification inside XnViewMP database.
Would this be possible?
Thanks in advance
Herb

???
IIUC, You have it already. In Settings | General > "Rotate Images according the EXIF orientation tag"

Hello,
@ m.Th. : Yes you are right: In my case your proposal does not work as I wrote.
Best regards

Hello Pierre,
I have read that you will prepare a new version. Thanks for it in advance.
But please think about a feature that
- images can be rotated in view mode
- 90° clockwise and 90° counter clockwise
- without modifying the file itself (because we are in view mode).
In my case it would help to see rotated *.orf images and also *.jpg images with wrong (or missing) exif:orientation.
Thanks in advance
Herb
