1. Open xplorer2 pro v1.3.0.3 with XnView ShellEx 1.3 installed
2. Right-click on a JPG file that has no file extension and xplorer2 pro crashes!
3. Open xplorer2 pro rename the JPG file to have a JPG extension and there is no crash
I believe the problem is with the shell extension and not xplorer2 pro.
A Dr Watson log was produced from this crash.
Update!
I just tried this in Windows Explorer and got the same crash!
This could be connected to the crashes, I get in Firefox's cache which have files with no extensions as well.

I have exactly the same problem. I tracked it with ShellExView.
Right clicking on any file without file extension lead to the same
result -> crash.

(I'm the unregistered guy who posted in the Requests & Suggestions forum about the unfortunate removal of Space Bar for image progression in XnView 1.80.1)
I'm also experiencing XnViewShellExt.dll-caused crashes similar to the users above.
XnViewShellExt.dll version: 1.3.1.0
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 with every single "latest" update from Windows Update (actually MS Technet, because I prefer to install them manually

).
Using the regular Windows Explorer (version 6.0.2900.2180) or VCOM PowerDesk Pro 6 (6.0.3.4), either right-clicking or clicking "Delete" on any file with no extension causes them to crash. No extension meaning a file with really no extension, not a file that has its extension "hidden from view". The "error signature" explicitly lists XnViewShellExt.dll as being the cause.
Earlier version numbers of XnViewShellExt.dll never caused this problem here. And the problem does not occur when XnViewShellExt.dll version 1.3.1.0 has been uninstalled.
