0.56: Import of XMP (e.g. Rating fields) to DB

Hello,
I've got the following issue: I've used the rating system to rate one folder with ~10'000 pictures with 3, 4 and 5 stars. My plan would have been to then use the quite neat 'filter' or 'sorting' functionality to only show all 3+ or 5+ star pictures to friends (depending on interest/time). However after copying these pictures to another machine (e.g. notebook) I figured that XNViewMP is only using the DB rating in order to 'filter' and 'sort' pictures!
I'm pretty sure that XNViewMP is missing a functionality to import the XMP data to the internally used DB. Alternatively an option could control whether a user wants to use the internal DB for this purpose or rely on the XMP tags only (my preferred solution).
What do other people think about it? Or does someone has a workaround how I can get my ratings to show up on a 2nd machine too?
Thanks!
Michael
