explorer context menu: "browse with ...." does not work

On my german win8-x64 i have an entry in the shell/explorer context menu: "Mit xnview MP durchsuchen" (browse with xnviewMP). Trying to browse i get an error: "Anwendung nicht gefunden" (application not found).

Settings/Integration/"Browse with ..." is always on, i cannot de-activate it, i.e. it always gets reset the the state of "activated" after re-opening the settings.

Settings is set to ".ini" file permanently. I cannot change it to write to the registry. When i try to do that and press "OK" the program crashes: "XNVIEWMP does not work any more. Close the program".

Please help.

Try to start it with admin rights

Thanks! Run as Admin solves he issue partially: this way it is possible to insert the entry into the shell context menu and remove it from it, but still the behaviour keeps strange, because as mentioned above....

...even though it apears or disappears on the shell context menu.

I hope it is understandable from my description:
- i run xnviewmp as admin, de-activate the context menu under "integration", click "OK" to confirm
- "browse with..." disappears from the context menu
- i open settings/integration again and see "Add 'browse with...'" reset to activated (the rectangle ckeck mark active), and it always keeps check-marked
- now when i close settings/integration by pressing "OK" "Browse with..." gets inserted into the shell context menu again

This behaviur does not change when "run as Admin", it always crashes when trying to write settings to registry.

No need to use admin rights here. I have no crash :(
