Can't open some PDF file by installing ghostscript x86 v9.10

When trying to read pdf-files(named by chinese traditional characters) I get "Format of the file <...> could not be determined" (the option Display all image files is on.) This happens with pdf files created by adobe ; the files can be read by Adobe Reader. Any suggestion?

XnView doesn't support Unicode, could that be the reason?
As XnView is 32-bit software GS 32-bit must be installed even in Windows x64, but you are able to open other PDF files, or the problem file if you change the name?
XnViewMP, currently in beta, supports Unicode and is cross-platform, so you could try that.

Can you open some PDF files except the Adobe PDF files? Or can't you open any PDF files? (Pretty much the same question as posed by cday).

PDF file named by english can be read by XnView
Using XnViewMP can't solve this problem

I can't open any PDF files named by Chinese

XnView won't open files with Chinese characters in the filename because it doesn't support Unicode character encoding: you can either rename the files and open them in XnView, or install XnViewMP which should open them with the Chinese file names.

If you install the 64-bit version XnViewMP you will need to install the 64-bit version of GhostScript:
http://www.ghostscript.com or other sources.
When you can open the PDF files, you may need to change the DPI setting from the default 72DPI to a higher value in order to obtain a good quality image:
In XnView: Tools > Options -- General -- Read/Write -- Read -- EPS/PS/AI/PDF
In XnViewXP: File> Format settings -- Read -- PS/PDF -- Resolution
You should be able to open the files using one or other of the above methods.
